Most of the time we let life take over but we don’t actually live. My offerings are designed for you to concentrate on yourself and to bring greater harmony and alignment to body and mind. Together we will move through a series of poses as I explain why certain asana’s are beneficial for you. Furthermore we will practise pranayama and dhyana, with the intention of exploring self-discovery and self-realisation

1-ON-1
YIN

  • Flexible time and location, my home/your home/Google Meet

  • 50 euro (VAT incl) / 1 hour

  • Yin yoga is a slow paced meditative yoga practice with specific sequences of poses to work on the connective tissues of the body to stimulate particular meridians (Chinese medicine), or subtle channels nadi’s (Indian medicine). We will hold the poses for at least between 3 to 5 minutes.

    Pranayama (life energy & mind regulation), asana’s (poses) & dhyana (meditation).

  • A class for the relaxation of the body and mind.

    To increase the circulation in our joints, improve flexibility and stimulate the flow in our nadi’s (channels through which our energy flows).

HATHA

  • Flexible time and location, my home/your home/Google Meet

  • 50 euro (VAT incl)/ 1 hour

  • Hatha yoga is the chemistry of the body and the universe by opening energetic blocks, uniting the energies of life, prana, nadi, chakra & kundalini (coiled power), and stilling the fluctuations of the breath. By using the physical body to end up in self-realisation; a oneness.

  • A class to activate and strengthen the muscles of the body.

  • Personalised yoga class when and where it is most aligned with your lifestyle and needs.

MOMENT

  • Flexible time via Google Meet

  • 30 euro (VAT incl) / 30 minutes

  • A class which is not personalised but rather meant to feel re-energized. You can choose based on your needs between Yin or Hatha.

  • Short yoga class for people who work from home and need a bit of energy.

  • 1-on-1 short but immersive yoga class when and where suits you best.

What is Yoga?
A common misconception is that yoga is a type of fitness. Instead yoga has already existed for over more than 5000 years and is constantly evolving. It is thought to be derived from the ancient Vedic civilization in northern India & Pakistan, which existed 1500 – 500 BCE. There are 4 paths of yoga; Karma yoga (the active aspect of the mind), Bhakti yoga (the emotional aspect), Rāja yoga (the mystical aspect) & Jñāna yoga (the intellectual aspect).

The word yoga means union, a oneness with yourself. A psychospiritual system to create a balance between body, mind & soul. To describe yoga in my own words; yoga is a cultural heritage & a way of life. It is a way of breathing, living and interacting with the world and yourself.

Can anyone request a class?
Anyone can request a class but please include in your request if you have an injury, disability or if you are pregnant, for me to be able to understand how and if I can serve you. The intention of my class is for you to focus on your thoughts and feelings to be able to look within. However if you don’t feel comfortable to go that deep we can start with focusing on the body only, most important is that you feel safe and attended to.

Is travel to your home included in the price?
Yes it is included in the price. I will come to you if you live in Oegstgeest or Leiden (please contact me in advance as it needs to be cycling distance). 

How many people can attend a private class?
As the class is personalised to your needs initially the idea is 1 on 1. However if you would rather practise together with a loved one we can do so for 65 euro / 1 hour (max 2 persons, at your home), the class will be less personalised.

What if I have an injury or disability?
Let’s discuss it together for me to be able to understand how and if I can be of service.

What if I have no previous experience doing yoga?
No worries, I would love to guide you during your first yoga experience.

Do I need any equipment such as a mat?
For a class at my home, you don't need to bring anything. For a class at your home, you need a mat and for yin a bolster or large firm cushion.

What do I wear for a class?
I recommend comfortable clothes and would try to avoid thick waistbands and clothes which don’t move along with you.
